Need a hand with Business Town? We’re happy to help.
Open the Cards tab and tap the QR icon, then Share my card — let someone scan the QR code, or send the link via Messages, email, or AirDrop. Use Link expires to choose how long your code stays valid, from 1 hour up to Never (it defaults to 1 day). A shorter window is safer — a leaked screenshot stops working — while a longer one is handy for a link you post or print.
Open Exchange Cards and tap Scan a card, then point your camera at their QR code. You can also paste an invite link they sent you.
Only contacts you’ve approved, and only while sharing is on. Your location is masked to a wide area on your device and end-to-end encrypted — your precise position is never shared, and not even our servers can read it. You can pause sharing anytime in Settings, or remove a contact to revoke access instantly.
Yes. Every message and photo you send is end-to-end encrypted on your device — our servers only ever store scrambled data they can’t read. Message any connected contact from the Chats tab.
Yes — tap the photo icon in a chat to attach an image (it’s end-to-end encrypted too). Photos stay on the server for about 7 days so they can be delivered; once you’ve viewed one it’s saved on your device and stays available after that.
Read receipts show the sender when you’ve read a direct message — and show you when they’ve read yours. To turn them off, go to Settings → Chat → Send read receipts. When off, neither side sees them.
Yes. Go to Settings → Chat → My bubble color to choose the accent used for your outgoing bubbles, chat buttons, and your map marker. Each option pairs a bubble color with readable ink, such as orange with white ink or a light card color with dark ink.
Swipe left on a conversation in the Chats tab and tap Delete. It’s removed from your side only — the other person keeps their copy. If they message you again, the conversation reappears with just the new messages.
Press and hold their card and choose Block. They’re removed, can’t reconnect with you or see your town, and aren’t notified. You can review or undo blocks in Settings → Blocked.
Press and hold a message and tap Report, or open a contact’s card and tap Report. Reporting also blocks the person. We review reports and act within 24 hours. You can also email [email protected].
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email. We’ll send a reset link and a code — tap the link on your phone, or type the code in the app, to set a new password.
In the app, go to Settings → Delete Account to permanently delete your account and all associated data yourself — this can’t be undone. Prefer we do it? Email [email protected] from your account address and we’ll delete it for you.
